Local resident inducted into Phi Eta Sigma
Submitted May 9, 2008 by Michelle Jett
A local resident was among 61 students recently inducted into the Stephen F. Austin State University chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, a national honor society that rewards academic excellence among freshmen in institutions of higher learning.
Marble Falls High School graduate Anna Reynolds, pre-veterinary major, is a member of the Horseman's Association. She is the daughter of Debbie Amos of Bastrop and Shell Reynolds of Horseshoe Bay.
Phi Eta Sigma is the oldest and largest freshmen honor society in the nation, according to Dr. Pamela Roberson, SFA faculty adviser to the group. All first-year, full-time students who have a grade point average of at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale are eligible for membership.
